It’s all too clear that a country in which Jews are attacked on the streets simply because they are Jewish, synagogues need to employ security, & anti-Semitic slogans & images are paraded through city centres or exhibited in art galleries is exactly what we’ve become.

Just a small shout-out to each and every one of my fellow Jews out there who now find themselves working really hard not to spend their entire evening telling people on the internet to fuck off.

@SadiqKhan You keep saying that antisemitism has no place in London. We keep seeing that it does. How are you actually going to confront that reality and the ideology behind it? And right now, the Jewish community does not feel that London is “united against those seeking to divide us.”

The death toll from the horrendous Bondi Beach massacre continues to rise. Latest count is an appalling 16 dead. For those who’ve been marching these past few years demanding to ‘globalise the intifada’ this is a barbarous anti-Semitic consequence of their pro-Islamist stupidity. Western intelligence services wondering if this is a terrible one-off atrocity. Or a harbinger of worse to come in other countries over the festive season.

If you spent the past two years inciting hatred against Israel and Jews, spare us your sudden outrage over the slaughter of Jews in Sydney. Your hypocrisy is obscene.

🚨BREAKING: The far right demonstration this Saturday has been moved by the Met Police from Tower Hamlets.   It would have caused significant disruption and intimidation in our local community, and spread fear and prejudice. Horrified to learn of the attack outside a Synogogue in Manchester, where 4 have been injured. My thoughts are with those affected by this criminal act. We are yet to learn of the motivations behind the crime. But I blame Netanyahu and his live streamed genocide.

I've just turned my phone on after Yom Kippur, when like many British Jews I go out of digital contact. I've just felt a visceral shock of such terrible news. My thoughts and prayers with all affected in Manchester. We cannot allow division and hatred to rule. I'm proudly British, my family have been in the UK for many generations. I believe this is one of the great tolerant societies that revels in, and should be proud of, freedom of worship for all, Christians, Jews, Muslims, Hindus and more. These individuals seeking to divide us will not win. We must not let them.

When they shout “Globalise the intifada”, this is what it means: Jews, dead, in pools of blood, at a synagogue. People called for intifada tonight in London and Manchester. Nobody did a thing about it. Even now. So we all look to Downing Street and ask: what are you going to DO?

Question for my fellow Jews only. Everybody else, talk amongst yourselves. What is your favorite Jewish ritual? Mine is Friday-night candle-lighting because I inherited my late mother's Shabbat candlesticks and think of her every week.
