STARLINK SPANS THE GLOBE As of August, there are 6,350 Starlink satellites in orbit, of which 6,290 are working, according to Astronomer Jonathan McDowell. Starlink satellites orbit approximately 342 miles above Earth and put on a spectacular show for observers as they move across the sky. They can appear as a string of pearls or a train of bright lights moving across the night sky. Starlink: “Starlink is ideally suited for areas where connectivity has been unreliable or completely unavailable. People across the globe are using Starlink to gain access to education, health services, and even communications support during natural disasters.” Sources: Space .com, @stats_feed
