@DarthVoita It’s not that Booker sucks. It’s simply that he is NOT a superstar. There’s no need to attack him either. Just accept the reality of a team whose best player is him: competitive at times, but far from the elite as long as that remains the foundation of the project.

@FlexFromJersey Players deserve respect. But from a team building perspective, there is evidence showing that when it comes to constructing teams, they are not necessarily the best at it. For example, Michael Jordan, Isiah Thomas. And if you want an example in Phoenix, Lance Blanks.

No one was expecting Devin Booker to outplay SGA or the Suns to beat OKC. But this first-round series also shows how far Phoenix has to go to get back to contention, which begs the question: Can they get there before Book's prime is over?

@Espo @PHNX_Suns Booker is a great player, but he isn’t a superstar. As long as he’s the best player in Phoenix, they’ll be what they are today. The only 2 options are to trade him for picks or stay loyal and live with the reality of being a play-in team until he retires. There’s no controversy.

@ErikRuby Yes. And they also lost that game to Portoand because of Booker’s poor performance… And the game they won against Golden State was in spite of Booker’s poor performance. Phoenix’s media is definitely the most loyal to its players. I have to take my hat off to them.

100% agree, that loss felt like the end of the season even though it wasn’t.
It doesn’t mean that it was meaningless to get into the playoffs and see this team in this situation, but it is very demoralizing in the moment.
