When it comes to the war in Iran, people are missing a very important point. This is a war that was going to happen. Either now, or in the future. The Iranian regime in that future would have been a grotesque beast—capable of causing significant damage around the world. A regime with 10s of thousands of ballistic missiles that could threaten countries across the globe. Possibly with a few nuclear bombs under its belt. This regime never wanted peace. Never. Even when it was given money, it did nothing but steal from its people, oppress them and sow carnage into the world. This was going to happen. “Death to America”. “Death to Israel”. “Death to England”. Did people think they were joking? The alternate timeline is terrifying. Luckily, there are leaders out there with the courage to act. Let’s get rid of this 7th century barbarism and usher in a world without this genocidal regime.

Some exciting news to share - Restore Britain's membership has just gone through 120,000. That is double the Liberal Democrats. Double. Almost entirely done through social media. Less than six weeks after launch, less than one week after our official registration as a political party. Our ground game is now firing. Approaching 400 parliamentary constituencies now have local branches up and running. Introductory meetings happening every day. The billboard campaign is on, with leaflets going through doors - thousands and thousands more every day. Regardless of what you think of our politics, this is a uniquely impressive achievement. Nothing like it has ever happened in British politics. Ever. According to yougov, I have the best approval ratings of any party leader - I'm not even a sodding politician. That is why the establishment detest us. I would have it no other way. We have no interest in reforming the establishment. I want to smash the establishment - destroy it, and start again. Rebuilding a system that puts one group of people at the top of the agenda, every single time. The British people. Does that make us extreme or radical? Irrelevant. We are going to do what needs to be done, however painful that will be. We are going to Restore Britain.

Words are cheap and easy. Trump is making it look real. I worked a few years ago for Ineos on a project. Sir Jim Radcliffe (the Owner of Ineos) spent £30m on basic design of a chemical plant in Germany and then pulled the plug. We in the design team were gutted, however we learned later that he needed to show a belligerent vendor of many years that he would not tolerate the increased price of their chemical feedstock supply. He would build his own Chlorine gas plant and would build with enough capacity to suplly the vendors customers as well. Eventually the belligerent vendor saw the design team and got intel of how far we had progressed with the design. Terrified that it was real a new deal was reached for supply of Chlorine gas to Ineos. Sir Jim Radcliffe spent £30m but saved having to spend €500m on the new plant. Actions mean more than words but not nearly as often.

Why would any President be is willing to send 10,000 of the highest trained, highest skilled, combat ready soldiers on a suicide mission, that guarantees they get slaughtered? You wouldn’t do that unless you wanted to to intentionally take out the only men capable of actually protect protecting and securing the homeland?

No one really knows what President Trump’s next move will be and if he is playing chess but one thing has to be said. Even if this war ends right now, the IRGC can live in their fantasy world all they want, but facts are facts and numbers are numbers. Iran, with all its missiles and cluster bombs aimed directly at civilian areas, managed to kill less than 30 people in Israel and out of those, a significant percentage were Muslims. (30 is a painful number for Israel as we, unlike them, actually value life. It’s a painful number but we also need to put it in perspective.) So what did Israel and the US achieve? Sit down, the list is long. Israel and the US took out their entire leadership and then they replaced that leadership and they were taken out too. Their navy? Gone. (130 Iranian naval vessels have been sunk or disabled.) Their airforce? Gone. Defense systems? Gone. Nuclear program? Out of commission. Ballistic missiles? 70% done. (Over 330 ballistic missile launchers (out of an estimated 470) have been destroyed.) 70% of long-range launchers destroyed; 92% interception rate. Israel and the US achieved total air superiority over Iran in a matter of hours and maintained it throughout the entire war. Iranian S-300 and S-400 batteries, along with domestic radar systems, have been systematically "wiped" from the map, allowing for continuous sorties over Tehran and other major cities. A major research facility for advanced underwater systems and submarines in Isfahan was destroyed, halting the IRGC’s next-generation maritime projects. If all of that wasn’t enough, it’s important to mention the diplomatic success. Iran has never been more isolated and Israel has never had more support from the Arab world. How the tables have turned in a matter of weeks. I guess we should thank the IRGC for throwing a tantrum and attacking all the countries that could have been on their side. So… I do hope the war doesn’t end yet because the IRGC is still firing missiles at Israel, the vast majority of which are either being intercepted, detonated, or they fall in empty spaces, and in some cases in other countries. There is still work to be done and we have to make sure Iran will never pose a threat to the western world again. We can’t take our foot off their neck quite yet. That being said, reports say that a ceasefire of some sort is imminent so it’s important to clarify that by no stretch of the imagination did the IRGC achieve anything even resembling a victory here. They didn’t just lose this war, they were obliterated and continue to be obliterated as I write these words. They are alone, weak, and the people of Iran have had enough of the IRGC. In other words, whether they know it or not and whether they’ll admit it or not, Operation Epic Fury and Operation Roaring Lion were a resounding success the likes of which we haven’t seen in many decades, perhaps ever. So let them lie to themselves and pretend they achieved anything in this war while we stand proud that in a matter of weeks, we brought the world’s most evil regime to its end. Now it’s the Iranian people who will have to put the nail in the coffin of the IRGC. We sure set the stage for them to do exactly that! To the Iranian people I say: The stage is yours!
