In a new piece titled "Iran’s Attacks Force U.S. Troops to Work Remotely," the NYT confirms the broad picture of the abandonment of US bases across the Persian Gulf. All of these details are widely known to those of us monitoring the situation, but it's significant to see them confirmed by the MSM for the first time: • Many of the 40,000 personnel that were in the region before the war are "working remotely" in hotels, except those directly involved in air operations, like pilots and ground crews. Some personnel have been evacuated to Europe • Many of the US's 13 major bases in the region are "nearly uninhabitable" as a result of continuous Iranian strikes • Bases in Kuwait have taken the most damage • The State Department didn't evacuate personnel from embassies until after the war started, so nonessential staff and even families were still present • The officials quoted in the piece are open in saying the military was overextended in the region, there was no way to continue operations out of bases in the Gulf states due to their proximity to Iran • Key bases like Prince Sultan lack hardening against drone and missile strikes, including in command centers • Refueling tankers were "rushed" into the region with no time for their crews to orient themselves, resulting in disorganization nytimes.com/2026/03/25/us/…

BREAKING: 🇮🇷🇺🇸 The New York Times has confirmed that most of the 13 US bases in the Middle East have been destroyed and empty. Many of the 13 military bases in the region used by American troops are all but uninhabitable, with the ones in Kuwait, which is next door to Iran, suffering perhaps the most damage, according to the NYT.
