Full transparency, I did not know about this section on pages 278-279 of the OBBB that strips states of the right to make laws or regulate AI for 10 years.
I am adamantly OPPOSED to this and it is a violation of state rights and I would have voted NO if I had known this was in there.
We have no idea what AI will be capable of in the next 10 years and giving it free rein and tying states hands is potentially dangerous.
This needs to be stripped out in the Senate.
When the OBBB comes back to the House for approval after Senate changes, I will not vote for it with this in it.
We should be reducing federal power and preserving state power.
Not the other way around.
Especially with rapidly developing AI that even the experts warn they have no idea what it may be capable of.

@HolderStephen Implying you’re as smart or smarter than Ballard. Nice. When did not wanting to pay running backs become a thing? Been a thing, you must be new here. Now put “been a thing” with “not a thing” and guess what you got… a whole new thing.
English

The Colts certainly are entitled to do as they wish with contracts, but the logic here is weird to me.
What does extending contracts have to do with how many games you won last year? And what happens if they win four or five games THIS year? No extensions next year too?
Zak Keefer@zkeefer
Good follow from @RomeovilleKid, asking Chris Ballard why the team didn’t wanna pay Jonathan Taylor now, despite Ballard repeating his mantra “you pay great players.” “Then why not pay him?” Ballard: “We won four games last year. We won four games.”
English

@RomeovilleKid Behind the mask of 'not for pity' often lies a truth we're afraid to admit – that even in pretending not to be insecure, we reveal how much we truly are.
English

@RomeovilleKid Sure about him getting paid? I was under the impression PUP players weren’t eligible for game checks unless some pro-rated negotiation occurs
English

There it is.
My stance has always been that the #Colts weren’t going to make a move because they still want Jonathan Taylor and no one was going to pay the asking price.
Yes, Taylor will still get paid while on PUP.
Tom Pelissero@TomPelissero
With no trade materializing, the #Colts are placing RB Jonathan Taylor on the Reserve/PUP list, meaning he’ll be sidelined for at least the first four games, per sources. Taylor’s trade request stands. And now he’ll play no sooner than Week 5.

@TheStalwart Aren’t 4 million people not in the labor force looking for a job? And aren’t 5 million people working part time for economic reasons? Real unemployment is like 6%+
English

@JoelAErickson Reich says the colts think they have their answer at left tackle and right guard and qb and cb2 and pass rush and kicker. Reich should stop thinking.
English

@SourceIndiana I felt like Raimann played admirably considering his first start was against Chubb. Only giving up one hit against a defense that was t-ing off in pass rush.
English

@LuckAtLuke @zkeefer Ya, I just don’t see this as true. If anything, it seemed like this commitment to stop the run is what opened Ryan up for a 350 yard performance. While run plays it felt like jt was running into a pile containing every player on the field lol
English

Per NFL Next gen stats, the Colts are facing an 8 man box only 8.64% of the time, so this is not reality.
The guys up front simply aren't winning their matchups (quote via @zkeefer).

English

@michaeljburry do you use EBITDA in your analysis? if yes why do you think guys like Buffett don’t like it (I know his comments are typically centered on how D/A are real costs, any fault in that thinking?)
English

@SJosephBurns Comments so funny, the only country’s that can even be considered have to at least be the size of Texas/California.
English

@KBowen1070 Braden is a natural guard. Move him inside and move Raimann or Pryor to the right side.
English

If the #Colts make a change (or changes) on the offensive line, what could that look like?
Will Fries at RG for Danny Pinter?
