🚨 BREAKING🚨 The House of Representatives just approved a 57% cut in funding for Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs (CDMRP), including the Prostate Cancer Research Program (PCRP). This cut threatens vital research that has historically led to FDA-approved treatments and countless saved lives. The impact on our community will be significant: ◾ A man dies from prostate cancer every 15 minutes ◾ Veterans and active duty military face double the risk ◾ African American men are 70% more likely to develop it and twice as likely to die from it ◾ This year alone, 313,780 Americans will be diagnosed This isn't just about numbers – it's about fathers, brothers, sons, and friends. It's about the 3 million+ men living with prostate cancer who depend on these research breakthroughs. We won't stop fighting. Across PARPi trials, another point that strikes me is how pts with BRCA2 gene alterations have briefer response to AR directed therapy than the general pop. We noticed this trend years ago but I remember others with opposite data at the time. Do ppl now feel this is settled fact?
