I'm losing my mind. I called a handyman to fix this one small hole. He had the nerve to quote me $600! For what?! A $20 patch kit from Home Depot? He's trying to tell me he has to 'cut a new square,' 're-tape the seams,' and 'paint the entire wall' to blend it. What a joke! Does he really think I'm that dumb?! He's just trying to scam me into paying for a full day's work for a 30-minute job.

@ourhomeswtbama We're supposed to get heavy thunderstorms tomorrow then dry for a little then more at the end of the week. Still have a ton of seeds to get planted.

@JR_Homesteading We’re supposed to get rain all through the weekend and next week. Need to set some time aside and get the garden going before it gets too hot. 🥵

Aerated around the plants and hit them with nitrogen. Green Onions are going to flower/seed. Potatoes are popping up so once the soil dries a bit it'll be time to hill them up again. Wife flowers are getting ready to bloom.

@JR_Homesteading @currcl @MatrixMysteries There was a ton of fraud and abuse with those. More small businesses might have survived if they designed it and administered it well. But this is COVID era US gov we are talking about.

An American checks her student loans. She borrowed $49,548.74. After 120 payments, she’s paid $25,558.36. Her current balance? $50,121.33. After PAYING $25k… she now owes MORE than she originally borrowed. This isn’t aid — it’s legalized USURY.

@CaryKelly11 US Farmers are the only industry forced to buy at retail prices, sell to the government at wholesale prices before they are allowed to sell in other places. Even if you buy directly from the farmer the USDA has their hand in the farmers pocket.

Three things about Trader Joe’s: 1. I found some of that Argentinian beef that was supposedly going to “save” us. And the fact that beef shipped 5,000 miles can be $4/lb cheaper than American beef exposes some serious domestic problems. Why is imported beef 25% cheaper than beef raised here? 2. Trader Joe’s “premium” strip steaks are some of the worst retail steaks I’ve ever seen. I could cut better-looking steaks with my left foot. 3. I won’t be back. The only thing worth buying was the uncured salami and to be fair, it was pretty tasty.

@currcl @MatrixMysteries These types of loans were only designed so that our small businesses could survive the Democrats PlanDemenic. Even with these loans most small businesses were killed off in Democrat run states.

I think if your going to take a loan regardless of how it's used, you pay it back. As an 18 year old you should be sat down before you sign the document and have it explained bluntly, this is the amount of the loan, this is the interest, this is what the monthly payments are to pay it back. This is the degree you are taking the loan for, this is what a job in the feild of your degree will pay you a month. If you can't repay the loan on the money your making after graduation, the bank or government shouldnt loan you the money. Go to Jr college first or go to a trade school and quit crying like a little bitch over your poor life choices.

@currcl @MatrixMysteries all loans have interest. I think if you are going to college for a useless degree like gender studies the loan should be denied. If you can prove you will be able to use your degree then a loan can be taken out with a low interest rate of something like 2 or 3%

@MatrixMysteries student loans offered by the federal govt. should have very small interest if not any ... 0% I think if they have paid at least the principal back they are not required to pay the exorbitant interest back...

@RedCalifor77861 @MatrixMysteries I would agree except most of these loans aren't 5% interest. There has been 0% accountability held against these loan agencies. Which has led to tons of lawsuits against them with main ones against Sallie Mae, Navient, and the Department of Ed often resulting in loan shark ruling

No it's not a scam, you went to college and the only thing you did was get dumber. You borrowed 50,000 at 5% interest you made a minimum payment of 254.00 for 120 months that didn't even cover the interest on the loan. If you would have made a payment of 530.33 per month your loan would have been payed off in 10 years. The only scam was the education you received.
