Took a sack on 25.9% of his pressured dropbacks, highest of any QB. Plus, career-low 7 rush YPG.

I'd confidently argue Geno is a better passer of the football based on the past 4 seasons of football than Kyler. And with a fraction of the drama.

And Murray isn't guaranteed to pan out at all, I'm not claiming that. But he's at least an average QB and offers a non-zero chance of being great (however low that % might be). Geno, Wentz, or even Brissett is an auto-5-win season max, IMO.

"Targeting" Geno/Wentz while Kyler is out there for the cheap doesn't make sense to me unless tanking is the goal. Toss Murray 10M to convince him to come to you instead of going to Minnesota for the minimum. At least make a serious effort.

Wentz is awful, but from 2022-2024, Geno was a noticeably better QB than Kyler. They were both bad/hurt for bad teams last year.

Sports are actually a perfect microcosm of this kind of cultural change. There was a very specific culture in sports when white people were the majority. This culture shunned excessive celebration. It had very strict rules about honor and retaliation. It looked down on showboating.
As white people became the minority in these professional sports, the culture did an about face.
We’re now told that excessive celebrations are a critical aspect of the game and that if you don’t like them, then you must just simply not like fun.
And because there is an obvious racial component to this change, in some circles it’s considered very suspicious to mourn too loudly the loss of the old culture. You’re only allowed to say that the new culture is superior. There can be no question about this. The old culture was stodgy and bad. The new one is objectively better.
This change happened as a direct result of demographic change in professional sports, but reverberates through all amateur levels of every major sport.

I remember when the end zone celebration debate was happening in the NFL and if you didn’t like end zone celebrations that made you a racist because early on it was mostly black guys doing ridiculous mime routines in the end zone. So then the NFL decided it would no longer be penalized and I remember I was watching ESPN’s NFL Live at the time and I think it was Trey Wingo saying very unconvincingly, “I think this is awesome. I think it’s so much fun.” And I was thinking, “No you don’t. You’re a mature adult who is not amused by Travis Kelce pretending that he’s rowing a canoe across the end zone after a touchdown. Maybe you think it’s no big deal and who cares, but you don’t think it is awesome and super fun.”
