Announcing the launch of a new study here at the CPCR! This study will test whether two substances often referred to as psychedelics — psilocybin & MDMA — can address PTSD symptoms and improve quality of life. Participants will receive guided dosing sessions, professional psychological support, and follow-ups over several months. If you’re a veteran living with PTSD, you may be eligible to take part in this important research. Please share widely to whoever may be eligible and interested in participating. Start with our online eligibility survey: hopkinspsychedelic.org/pamvet

Looking forward to next week's Gordon Research Conference. This will be my first time presenting an emerging transdiagnostic model of psychedelic therapy with a primary focus on evidence-based psychotherapy. In this model, psychedelics are conceptualized as ...

Last week, CPCR researchers Drs. Fred Barrett, Brandon Weiss, David Yaden, and Sandeep Nayak met with the PATH Caucus (led by @RepLouCorrea and @RepJackBergman) on Capitol Hill. In a vibrant meeting of oral presentations and Q&A, Drs. Barrett and Weiss shared their scientific findings signaling the potential for Psilocybin Therapy to be a rapid-acting, efficacious, safe, and tolerable tool for treating PTSD, alcohol use disorder, and depression among military Veterans and other Americans. We thank the PATH Caucus for their great advocacy for research on psychedelic therapy and Veteran health, and for including us in their mission. @FredBarrettPhD @BWe1ss @ExistWell @sdpnayak

The Psychedelic Assisted Therapy Caucus (PATH) looks to bring psychedelic therapies to cure invisible wounds veterans bring back from the battlefield.  At yesterday's PATH Caucus meeting, we hosted John Hopkins Medical School Doctors Barrett and Weiss, who presented their psychedelic research findings for treating PTSD. To date, the psychedelic therapies promise to revolutionize how we treat mental challenges not only for Vets, but others in our society. We’ll continue to fight for our vets.
