We have loved all our work on seeds and have produced some wonderful writing about sunflower seeds. Amazing to think that 8 months ago most of these children couldn’t even write their names! ☺️

We have had great fun investigating seeds this week and were amazed at how different they all looked! We have also been planting our own seeds and flowers to find out what they need to help them grow.🌱🌸 (More pictures in comments below)

We were very excited to welcome a real superhero into class this week! Keith, the local lollipop man, told us about his job as part of the School Crossing Patrol in Adlington and helped us learn about basic road safety.

Today we enjoyed a lovely reflection in church with our buddies. The service gave us time to celebrate our new beginning at school and to embrace the next step of our journey through St Joseph’s with excitement and confidence. A wonderful way to end our first half term! 🕯️

Great day at the Anderton Centre that ended in an inspirational and motivational talk from guest speaker Neil Danns who has been the British and European skateboarding champion as well as representing Britain in the 1987 Eurovision Song Contest🛹🎶 Thanks CSSP for a great day😊

Year 2 really had a lovely time at Forest school this week. 🌳 They made log dogs with timber hitch knots. 🪵 They built dens and had fun recognising all the different Autumn leaves! 🍁

We enjoyed a visit from a Children’s author and illustrator today. We met Sean Perkins and he shared his new book, ‘Oscar and Ben, The Birthday Party’ with us. Sean will be back in school soon to sign copies of his books for the children. 📖 @sean16_writes
