@decruz@ccmiller2018@trunarla Not to mention you have a plethora of information at your finger tips. It would be better to know how fast you can find an answer when you don’t know the answer.
Why the hell are tech companies asking logic problems in interviews. Like when is knowing the heaviest ball in a set of 9 balls in two turns on the scale EVER useful on the job 😒
@grimsr3ap3r79@POTUS If you take 1000 people and pick 500 white males first then have to pick another 250 people, you’re going to pick a lot more POC and Women. The best males were picked by previous administrations. Biden is just righting the wrong of the lack of diversity of past choices.
@POTUS What you actually did was discriminated against those that didn’t fall into those categories by specifically hiring and employing those of matching demographics. Regardless how you state it. It’s discrimination in the end.
Right now, we've seen 140 judges confirmed – more than the last three presidents up to this point in their tenure.
And what's more: two-thirds of those nominees are women and two-thirds are people of color.
When I said I'd build a bench that looked like America, I meant it.
@moe_rayo Interesting. My strategy so far is to read what the job req would say and then build the resume to highlight their needs. But in this case I have to make a CV for a certification. Anyway you go I find it best to match what they are looking for as simply as possible.
What's the best CV builder? Looking for something that takes care of making it look good, preferably free, maybe hooks up to linkedIn to get a quick start. If it focuses on tech style CVs that would be optimal. Suggestions?
@HarrisonJjjj I looked at the LinkedIn and it’s cheap but the format was just a little to plane, I ended up finding a nice looking but not noisy template on Etsy of all places and modifying it. The sites that do it charge monthly which seems weird when the content remains the same.
@JoeHughesDev I had a struggle today with the same topic.
I found the enhancCv app pretty cool(both the free and paid version is considerable)
As well as LinkedIn resume builder(finally I choosed this one) its free and whatever you make in your LinkedIn account will have on your resume.
POKER FACE! Ep 8: “The Orpheus Syndrome” written by @nlyonne and Alice Ju (who wrote “The Night Shift”) and BRILLIANTLY directed by Natasha. I love this one so much. Natasha’s work with DP @jaronpresant is juicy and pulpy and gorgeous.
It’s Christmas/David’s birthday on todays new episode of Flightless Bird!! Also @davidfarrier reveals a big secret that’s been haunting him for decades. Enjoy!!
@deveyedeas It's definitely not a replacement for coding courses, but if you have a young one and want to get them to think in this manner then it's great. Or if you just wanna have fun doing it. There is a board game it reminds me of as well. Roborally. Love that game.
Want to introduce kids to basic coding? Bots are Stupid is a fun game where you give commands to a robot to TAS a platformer game. It's on steam. Saw it and thought it looked cool.
