A major leap for West Bengal and India’s energy goals. JSW Energy has begun work on its biggest greenfield project yet — a 1600 MW ultra supercritical thermal power plant in Salboni. With an investment of ₹16,000 crore and a 25-year power agreement with WBSEDCL, the project promises over 2000 job opportunities and a big boost to regional development. The ceremony was graced by Hon’ble Chief Minister of West Bengal, Ms. Mamata Banerjee, JSW Group Chairman Mr. Sajjan Jindal, JSW Foundation Chairperson Ms. Sangita Jindal, JSW Cements and JSW Paints Managing Director Mr. Parth Jindal, CEO of JSW Energy Mr. Sharad Mahendra, and cricket legend Mr. Sourav Ganguly.
