A major leap for West Bengal and India’s energy goals. JSW Energy has begun work on its biggest greenfield project yet — a 1600 MW ultra supercritical thermal power plant in Salboni. With an investment of ₹16,000 crore and a 25-year power agreement with WBSEDCL, the project promises over 2000 job opportunities and a big boost to regional development. We announce yet another purposeful step towards shaping India’s clean energy landscape with the acquisition of Tidong Power Generation Private Limited. Strategically located in Himachal Pradesh, the project strengthens our hydropower ecosystem. Its proximity to the Karcham Wangtoo plant also enables meaningful operational synergies.
