Binance CEO @cz_binance says the crypto industry is too transparent: "I think right now the crypto industry is too transparent. It's actually extremely easy to track crypto funds. The blockchain is a public ledger. If you couple that with a few centralized exchanges, KYC information, you can track most of the transactions pretty accurately. So I think right now there's a lack of preserving of privacy." "For example, if your company pays everybody in crypto and if you get one payment today on the blockchain, you can just trace to the address that paid you and see how many addresses that address paid in the last week, then you can figure out everybody's salary. That's a privacy issue." "Another example, if you pay for a hotel [in crypto], then people will know that you're going to stay at that hotel, which for some people may create security issues. This is MUCH better. But why stop there? What if we start some type of Foundation dedicated to advancing #Cardano? Would could gift them like 500 Million ADA from the treasury and they could use it to grow our ecosystem and onboard millions of users. What do you guys think?

Honestly, I feel the funds could be better spent on funding a network of offices globally that operate like our Buenos Aires office with biweekly events, hackathons, community aggregation, and venture incubation. For the cost of this proposal, 5-6 offices could be run for a year including staff. We regularly have events of 100-200 two a month in BA with the Pythathon being the most recent. We have to grow the base and spread the good word, not have expensive parties with the converted.

Building on that, the Cardano Foundation and @emurgo_io have published a new treasury withdrawal proposal: Cardano Summit 2026 and title sponsorship at @TOKEN2049, both in Singapore this October.

Look at how much was actually dispersed. And then how do even know how much was sold on the open market?
If you do these things properly (over counter offers, limit ordering, volume ratio) price impact is minimal. Price really only moves when it’s low volume and you full send market sell. ADA dropping down the CMC is not completely driven from treasury expenditures. In fact, it’s less that a 1% inflation of the circulating supply if you maxed out NCL

#Cardano fam, as promised tonight I will be down voting EVERY proposal asking for $ADA from the treasury. It is MADNESS to be aggressively spending in this type of market. Crashing the price of ADA will be catastrophic for the long term outlook of the ecosystem. Being in the top tier by MC of crypto is far more important for adoption and usage than building a beautiful cathedral that disappears into irrelevancy. Let Tezos and Polkadot serve as a warning!!

Personally I think Andrew is a huge asset to Cardano as are many who from time to time disagree with Charles. It’s just my personal opinion that if you disagree with Charles, most of the time you’ll be wrong. That said, nobody’s perfect. I think the toxicity serves no one. Charles is not one to hold back when his commitments, integrity or honesty is questioned
