@POferriesupdate I am well aware of what post I am replying to. Given the other post was completely ignored by P&O, much like P&O ignored the issue caused by them at check in.

Hi Jess, the post you are replying to is an update on today's port traffic, not yesterday's. We have no queues at check-in, but there are long queues at border control currently. I am sorry to hear of the delays you experienced yesterday and apologise for the inconvenience caused.

@POferriesupdate @ScottWilkins80 It’s so frustrating that you are blaming border control. Yes there are delays at border control but the biggest ones yesterday were being caused by the lack of traffic flow management by P&O at check in!

Hi Scott, I understand your frustration and apologise for the wait times at Calais. The queues are at border control, which is managed by port authorities, and unfortunately we have no control over their processing speeds. We are working closely with them to help improve the situation and appreciate your patience.

@Victoria1413076 @POferriesupdate The audacity of P&O to send apologies for the delay due to border control being ‘a farce’ over the tannoy when the biggest delays were due to P&O and poor traffic management. We were booked for 19:20 and left at approx 23:00

@POferriesupdate We were booked on the 19:20 sailing and we are now only just departing at 21.50. Please advise as to why there was such a delay and how we can apply for compensation as this is totally unacceptable.

@ChrisDroid91 @POferriesupdate Urgh thats awful. We were just so lucky that a nice few drivers let us in front of them to drive through to the far lane which was for buses AND cars but not many cars were going in it or I reckon we would still be there! The 21:50 set sail about 23:00…

@JSollom6035 @POferriesupdate We're still queueing for the waiting lanes, 1 am crossing for us. 5 hours of queueing now.

@FannoFlow @POferriesupdate You’ve done well! We arrived the same time and are in the second border control…. Poor traffic management caused a bottle neck at check in.

@POferriesupdate Just boarded. Arrived in Calais at 17.45 and it took us three hours to pass check in and border control.

@ocean_wireaudio @POferriesupdate Managed to check in for the 21:50 (40 minute delay) after getting here at 17:50 and getting stuck in the bottle neck queue for 3.5 hours. Made it through French control in 10 minutes, now in the English control queue and this is chaos too..

@ChrisDroid91 @POferriesupdate We were supposed to be on 19:20. We have just managed to check in on the 21:50 which has a 40 minute delay.

@POferriesupdate This is a massive shambles, I hope you're offering free meals, as got 5 kids in the back. We were meant to get on the ferry at 19:20. Someone needs to sort this out, no P&O staff about anywhere.

@JSollom6035 @POferriesupdate It’s a joke!!! My kids are fed up as are we and one of my children has complex neurodiverse needs and im ready to walk with her between the cars to check in as i cant take much more

@POferriesupdate We've been here 3 hours. People are cutting down the side and getting in front of all the rest of us. No traffic control, no decent updates, and no welfare of us with children. Appalling.

@POferriesupdate Already late for our 20:05 ferry due to traffic. Not rating our chances of making the 21:50 according to this 😩

@POferriesupdate Poor traffic management from P&O seems to be the current issue. I’ve seen two fights since I’ve sat in this queue for the last 90 minutes.

#POCalais: There are long queues at French border control, which are currently backed up to our check-in booths, causing delays. After check-in, there is an approx. 1.5 - 2hr wait at border control. If you miss your sailing, we will get you on the next available once you reach check in or our loading lanes. 🚗🚢

@POferriesupdate First and last time sailing with P and O. Got here 90 minutes before sailing for the 19:20 ferry and haven’t even made it to the lane we need to be in yet… let alone check in. No traffic management. Disgusting service.
