I want to take a minute to praise Hayden Jones of Pickens HS and the outstanding young man & teammate he is. During the offseason, several bigger schools inquired about the possibility of Hayden transferring to play for them his senior year where he would get more exposure that would lead to more offers. In an era where kids are transferring to pursue better opportunities, Hayden decided to stay at Pickens and finish what he started. He put his loyalty to his school, coaches and teammates ahead of his personal aspirations. No one knows about the opportunities Hayden turned down other than a few select people. That kind of loyalty is what every small town school hopes to have in their talented QB who has aspirations of playing in college.
