I’ve been in XRPL spaces for years now, long before the drama cycles and long after most people forget what we were even arguing about. And one thing has always been true: X is a free speech platform. Anyone can start a space, anyone can host discussions, and anyone can build their own community. But no one is entitled to a microphone in someone else’s space. Not me. Not you. Not anyone. I’ve watched Vet host, moderate, and navigate these conversations for years. He’s kept it authentic every single time. He doesn’t shill his projects. He doesn’t weaponize his platform. He lets the conversation flow naturally even when it’s uncomfortable, even when it challenges him, and even when it would be easier to mute or block and move on. And I’ll say this, too: When I briefly explored the Xahau ecosystem and even considered joining an NFT marketplace that could have competed with his own artists, he still gave me space. Still brought me up. Still treated me respectfully. That says more about someone’s character than any post ever could. What most people don’t see are the DMs. The entitlement. The aggressive demands to be handed a speaker spot as if it’s a birthright. The constant negativity sent to cohosts, to the point I stopped taking cohost for a time because the messages became toxic and exhausting. I even disconnected with a few people on here purposely over this. Not because I disliked them. Just because it grew tiresome. But after watching years of this, the irony is obvious: The only “cabal” I’ve witnessed is the anti-Vet cabal. The resentment. The quiet group chats. The subtle digs. The passive-aggressive tweets. The obsession with tearing down people who show up consistently and try to provide clarity. And honestly? I’m glad the ISO obsession era is over. It brought more misinformation, ego battles, and unnecessary hostility than actual learning or progress. At the end of the day, what I care about is free speech, real conversations, accurate information, open dialogue, growth, and people who show up authentically. Vet has always been that. And I stand by people who stand by the truth, even when it’s inconvenient, even when it’s unpopular, and even when it would be easier to stay quiet. Spaces are open to everyone. Stages are not. And respect is earned by consistency, integrity, and authenticity, not by demands, tantrums, or group pressure. That’s all.
