@lWEARJ0RTS As a night owl who doesn't like early mornings, I don't have a good reason to give 😂 every once in awhile it's fun to be up while the sun is rising and be productive. But I wouldn't choose that daily on my own right now lol

@JVal48103 Plus, if you do not need to wake up early e.g. your job schedule, why wake up early?

I understand the sentiment behind this (train kids to wake early so they'll be able to do it when they're working), but I spent my entire childhood and early adulthood waking up early and all it did was make me dislike early mornings 😅 Kids need sleep, adults can adapt ❤️

@bethanyshondark Does this mean he will choose not to go to work someday if he has to wake up at 7:30?

@Omiron33 @resisfertile For what it's worth, I see John post about real issues with women's behavior and sins often 🤷‍♀️

@resisfertile Totally true. Now do how women these days fail to submit and fulfill their role and don’t show pious behavior?

Brothers, There is a reason Peter says to dwell with your wife in an understanding way. There is a reason gentleness and warmth are to characterize how you are to interact with your bride (Ephesians 5) Many men are honestly, knuckleheads. A wrong headed husband can easily crush a right hearted wife. You can needlessly crush a good wife with ill delivered words or lack of appreciation and perspective. Let's take the below at face value - a husband should find a way to communicate this with his bride... but how he does it should be soaked in appreciation, gentleness, warmth, and more. Because for this lady, each lunch was a piece of her heart she was giving to her husband, and he just walked all over it with muddy boots. This is not uncommon, brothers. A lot of ladies truly are trying. She should have walked away from him expressing the below feeling appreciated, loved, treasured... "honey, its so clear how much you love me, how much effort you are putting in here, etc. etc. etc.)" and with positive ways she can channel that to more practical things that will bless him. It's a real failure of leadership and appreciation and love for your bride, brothers. Learn to dwell with her in an understanding way. It will pay compounding dividends you can't imagine over decades of marriage.

@AliAmongFlowers I have been on it a lot less for the last few months. Feels different than it used to, like even a year ago. Fun while it lasted, I guess? 🥲

We were hitting some roadblocks with American History this year, so I booked a call with @nickitruesdell to gain some wisdom about which direction we should go. She was so kind and so helpful. Highly recommend if you're homeschooling and need some guidance or encouragement 🥹

I remember when I was a kid, our mornings were rushed while we ate a quick breakfast (usually cereal lol) and hurried off to school. Homeschooling isn't perfect, but eating a warm breakfast and chatting with my kids before we start is one of my favorite parts 🥹

I was made aware that Abolition Rising has indeed risen overnight to catch up to @FoundersMin Sword & Trowel podcast. While I love photo finishes (& commitment to abolition!) this feels like a play out of the DNC playbook. So, go vote for a podcast that actually podcasts! 😎

My husband used to work away from home for several days at a time, and he would sometimes message me photos of his meals, especially if they were very colorful and appetizing He still sends me pictures every once in a while, even though I'm the one who cooks all of it 😂❤️

@JVal48103 So many. Kids who don’t learn these skills will be so lost and helpless as adults, parroting whatever AI is designed to make them believe. Hope you’re all well!! 🩷

It is more important than ever to teach your children foundational knowledge, including memorizing math facts and geography! The normies will use the excuse “my kids can look that up using AI!” Those kids will be deferring to AI for simple tasks their entire lives.

@imwhythe80sdied YES. When I started teaching a young girl to sew last year, I told her first thing - you won't enjoy sewing if you have to fuss with the machine too much 😅 a quality machine makes all the difference. I really love my Juki machine. Depending on your budget, it's a solid choice!

@imwhythe80sdied That being said, I've had a Janome and a Juki, and I like both of them. A lot of people have Brother machines and I think those are pretty reliable as well!

@imwhythe80sdied Do you have a local sewing machine place near you? They're great at showing different machines at different budgets/needs. You might start with just hems, but then you might get addicted and want a machine that does a little more 🤭

@TarynA83 For sure. I've gotten name brand clothing that was a total flop, so I focus more on the construction and fabric than the name now. My kids might be ignorant of name brands in the future, though 😂 so I probably didn't help much!

Ladies, how do you teach your children to appreciate quality, without worrying about name brands and being trendy? My teen girls don’t know a lot about name brands. We’ll be shopping and I will say “oh, that’s a good price for ____.” They don’t really get it. I don’t want them to feel uninformed, but I have also just had a mindset of not teaching them to get caught up in worldly things like a brand name. How would you approach this? Let it go? I don’t want them to be like “mom never taught me…” if they get embarrassed for not recognizing something.

@TarynA83 I show my kids the difference between quality sewing that will cost more vs cheap, quickly sewn clothing that will not last as long. I also teach them which types of fabric are superior, regardless of name brand. Does that make sense?
