@DoctorLemma Go visit this house in person and then do yourself a real favor and hit up @mikechiliparlor located around the corner.

A property developer once offered an elderly woman a million dollars for her house. He offered to find her a new home. He offered to pay for her healthcare for the rest of her life.
She said no.
Edith Macefield was 84 years old and had lived in her small house in the Ballard neighbourhood of Seattle, USA since 1952. She had paid $3,750 for it and paid it off within two years. When developers arrived in 2006 to build a five-storey shopping complex on the surrounding land, her house was the last piece they needed.
She was not interested.
Her answer was simple. She told a reporter: "I don't care about money. I'm 84. I'm perfectly happy here. And I don't want to move."
So they built around her. The shopping complex went up on three sides, leaving her tiny hundred-year-old house sitting at the base of the new building like something from a fairy tale.
During construction, the project's site superintendent, a man named Barry Martin, began checking on her. He drove her to doctors' appointments. He picked up her prescriptions. He cooked her dinner. An unlikely friendship formed between the elderly woman who wouldn't leave and the man hired to build the structure surrounding her.
Edith passed away in 2008, on the same couch her mother had passed away on decades before, in the house she had refused to leave. She was 86. She left the house to Barry Martin.
Barry sold it in 2009 for $310,000. He used the money to put his children through university. The buyer, a real estate investor, had plans to raise the house sixty-five feet into the air and turn it into a monument. The scheme collapsed. The house was boarded up. In 2015 it went to foreclosure after unpaid taxes.
The original developers eventually bought it back. It still stands today, empty, surrounded by concrete walls on three sides.
In 2009, Disney tied balloons to the fence to promote their animated film Up, about an elderly man whose house is surrounded by development. The film's story had actually been written years before Edith's story became news. But the image stuck.
People still leave balloons on the fence.
If you want to see it for yourself, open Google Maps and search 1438 NW 46th Street, Seattle.

@JWBurkhammer Before, yes, but when you purposely stand BEHIND THE REF to where he can barely see you, and then throw up your hands *during* the snap, that’s trash behavior and you should be ignored.

Is the @Seahawks defense the only D that gives itself a nickname? “The Darkside”, “The Legion of Boom”? Other than the Steel Curtain in the 70s do other teams do this???? #SFvsSEA #DivisionalRound
