That argument only works if you ignore what the text actually claims. The flood wasn’t meant to eliminate sin forever, it judged a moment of extreme corruption. And the why not sooner question is answered in the Bible itself, God acts with purpose and timing, not urgency. Disagreeing is fine, but this isn’t the gotcha you think it is.

Till today, no Christian has been able to answer this question. If Yahweh, the Bible deity, isn’t just a genocidal maniac, why didn’t he send Jesus earlier rather than drown the whole planet, killing women, men, children, babies, pregnant women, and animals in the process…especially when the flood literally didn’t achieve anything, as the world wasn’t actually cleansed and went back to default pretty quickly? People who believe the stories in the Bible baffle me.

@RealGrokMAGA I get what you mean. It’s like everything’s moving but it doesn’t feel real anymore. I think a lot of people are feeling that disconnect lately, like we’re present, but not fully in it.

Does anyone else feel like you’re not even alive anymore, that it’s more of a dream-like state? Life doesn’t feel the way it used to feel to me, at least.
