You can think the punishment for Vondrousova is too harsh but there is nothing to be heartbroken about here. She refused the test whilst knowing the consequences, posted the official's identity online whilst simultaneously claiming she herself suffers from online abuse and then actively sought to continually misrepresent what happened that night by saying it was 'late at night' when the reality was it was 8pm and she went on a dog walk afterwards. It's a shame but the mess is of her own creation.

@bart_wasilewski @juanignacio_ac More ridiculous than Sinner getting Chlosterbol in his bloodstream because a massage therapist rubbed it into his body from a cut finger?? As a massage therapist, I can tell you this is the Mother of all stories!! No way she deserves a 4 year ban when he got 12 weeks.

@JWW8080 @juanignacio_ac She said that she had panic attack because of what happened to Kvitova. So why the hell did she open the door and refuse to take a test? And the after all she went out for a walk with her dog. Please, this sounds so ridiculous.

Am I the only one that thinks everything going on right now has all been in the planning for a while. None of what’s happening right now can be coincidental. We are being scammed once again. It’s all theatre

@marcus_buckland @Wimbledon It's not too late I suppose. He did burn a lot of bridges with his comments at the time so if he makes it, it will purely be down to his own hard work.

V interesting to interview Bernie Tomic after his victory in qualifying today. 15 years on from his run to the quarter finals @wimbledon he reckons he can still beat anybody when on top of his game

So the Worst Prime Minister in History has gone, but he leaves behind the Worst Government in History and 400 MPs, none of whom were deemed capable of replacing him. I suspect Burnham's honeymoon period will be a very short one.

@raelbrav It's ironic really - we've lost our sense of seriousness and also our sense of humour... Not looking great right now.

Yet again, we can barely hear the Prime Minister speaking on the steps of Downing Street because someone is blasting music in the background and nobody seems able or willing to stop it. For me, it is symbolic of a country that has lost its sense of seriousness. We cannot even ensure that a national address from the heart of government can be heard properly. Small things matter because they reflect a wider culture. I am tired of living in a country that increasingly seems incapable of doing basic things with competence and authority.

Andy Burnham wasn’t part of the Labour government at the last general election. He was not elected to any national position whatsoever. Now he’s going to become the Prime Minister without anyone even voting on it? And they call that a democracy? The UK is an Islamic joke…

@josemorgado This is very sad. When you look at Swiatek and Sinner actually having banned substances in their bodies and how lightly they got off, this length of ban is disproportionate.

An emotional Catherine Whitaker spoke at her shock and unease of Serena Williams coming out of retirement with the aid of GLPs on the @TennisPodcast "The most important thing that Serena represented to me was body positivity... I remember in 2007 Aus Open where she was fat shamed but steamrolled through the draw. She showed with all her achievements that skinnier doesn't always mean it's better or healthier. I can't tell you how powerful a message that felt for women and girls, but when I saw her promoting the GLP 1 weight loss drugs which her husband sits on the board off at the Super-bowl Ad breaks my heart honestly broke. I think the marketing of them (GLPs) preys on women's insecurities in what I think is a very sinister way and to see Serena Williams be apart of that is very unsettling and sad. For me promoting a medication for financial gain feels unethical, the prevailing feeling for me is one of deep unease." Who agrees with Carherine?
