Someone should really point out that if England manage to beat Congo tonight, they'll have to face Mexico - at altitude - at the Azteca.

@sbleachedflies A rating is nearly meaningless outside the context of a given person's existing taste profile. A 3/5 can mean drastically different things to different people. Not to mention different rating criteria. Actually reading their review is a much better way to understand their opinion

I mean surely you have a hierarchy in your head for the movies most special to you, then the mediocre stuff and then the god awful tripe. The fundamentals of that aren’t that different to a literal rating. It’s just externalised

@sbleachedflies i don’t rate them because i am uncomfortable rating art on a numerical scale. also, the point of letterboxd for me is that it’s a diary + i like seeing other people’s commentary.

I don't want the USMNT to lose to Bosnia, but being upset about either Paraguay or Bosnia in a World Cup Final is CRAZY. Why wouldn't you want that? I don't get it at all.

@ahrtmad This is unironically how a lot of fans think. They’ve been conditioned to the sorry state of competitiveness in club football and want the World Cup to reflect that.
