@bottygerjoe @OffWorlderr @shinobi602 I didn't say it was. Other games by Bethesda are legendary, Starfield isn't. Ten years from now it'll be forgotten. It is still fun and enjoyable if you like the idea of being in space as you journey across the stars. Not many games do that.

Researchers have created a new device that uses ultrasound to trigger smells directly in the brain for VR The small device rests on the forehead with a soft gel pad. It sends gentle sound waves through the skull to the area of the brain that processes smell. Current VR smell systems use cartridges that need constant refills and can make a mess. This new method is cleaner and could one day let people smell virtual worlds like forests or oceans naturally. The project is still in early prototype stage from a small research team. Safety levels were kept low, but more testing is needed.

@OffWorlderr @shinobi602 It's a cross between Fallout 4 and Skyrim set in Space. It scratches an itch that is hard to describe. It isn't legendary by any means but if you want something you can dump time into and have a chill experience, here you go.

Manufacturers must also provide spare parts and repair manuals for at least 10 years after a model is released. This is real pressure against planned obsolescence. It should mean phones that actually last longer, cheaper fixes, and a lot less electronic waste piling up. About time.

@MrStarfield22 I have like 750 hours in it. Just a good game to relax to. Though I just finished the DLC and I wasn't very moved by it. Major choice at the end felt empty either way I took it. Though the space battle at the end was a real treat.

The only thing Secret Hideout and Skydance agree on is Secret Hideout won't make any more Trek. Things have turned very toxic. Paramount is refusing to pay him his balloon payments. Kurtzman won't surrender the rights, and Paramount wants to announce United ASAP. What do you make of this?

@Beowulf1426 It's a great game to just enjoy. It scratches an itch for being in space that Fallout or Skyrim never could. I struggled playing those games, but I find myself wanting to restart Starfield a lot and do it all over again.

I am loving Starfield. I know many people are over Bethesda or find them dated, but their games always hit like crack to me. There's nothing else like them. Playing Starfield feels like playing Fallout 3 or Oblivion for the first time again. Very warm and nostalgic.

@learning_yohei It was an easy way to have a drink and a snack when you had dirty hands. Pour the packet of peanuts in the bottle and just chew as you drink.

@learning_yohei As a bonus, the middle finger being a rude gesture originated from Scottish bowman who used it to fire. They'd line up and present the finger to show they still had it, as it had been normalized for whoever they were fighting to cut it off upon their capture to that point.

@learning_yohei I know the origin is to offer your would be weapon bearing hand as a show of peaceful intent or honest interaction. That originated in Europe and was brought over if I remember right.
