Some of these felons have been caught and released dozens of times with no real consequences because of these weak state policies. This epidemic could be ended easily with common sense public safety reforms but the state leadership continues to put ideology over safety. It’s time to end the craziness! About three weeks ago, I had a conversation with Mike Kennealy when families across Massachusetts lost their SNAP benefits during the shutdown. We talked about how people were hurting and what could be done to help them get through it. Mike told me that he and his team were already working on a plan to support those in need. And today, at the grand opening of his headquarters, he proved it. He asked everyone attending to bring non-perishable food items so his team could deliver them to a local pantry before the holidays. Government should always be about helping the people, not ignoring them. And for that reason, I made my best effort to make it and donate what I could to support families who are struggling. While Governor Maura Healey refused to tap into the rainy-day fund to help families put food on the table, Mike Kennealy stepped up with action and compassion. He’s focused on making sure families are not hungry for the holidays, and that’s the kind of leadership Massachusetts deserves.

Team Kennealy isn’t waiting until Election Day to make an impact. Today we hosted a food drive and office opening party. It was a blast spending time with the team and coming together for a great cause!
