All love but plenty of regular adults played Classic and Vanilla and somehow maid time to do a 1-2 hour dungeon. I’m not sure when this rhetoric started where the reason MMOs need to be boring loot treadmills that reset every 6 months is because people don’t have “time.” They do.

Time. We lost time. People got older. People got married. People got jobs. People had kids. Now Bills have to be paid, rent, house payment, car payment, kids medicine. We lost time. This is why in the article they want to somehow bring back large areas of exploration in a dungeon format in Labyrinths. Blizzard had to grow as we grew. And had to realize that we don't have time for a 3 hour 13 boss dungeon. I think Mega Dungeons recently have always given me the feel of the old school dungeons with 8+ bosses and probably hour in length. Decent read though. pcgamer.com/games/world-of…

@melidon830 Depends on how or why you think a game is ruined. I always value gameplay above all else, so Blizzard making classes far less interesting in Midnight made me reconsider purchasing it. Not sure I'm aware what the Bud Light treatment is, tbh.

The “Disneyfication” of Warcraft is a red herring. Disney has nothing to do with it. Reality is, Overwatch is the last successful IP blizzard had, and WoW at the time, was dying. So they transposed the successful aesthetic to a failing IP. This didn’t make for better art, obviously, but the conversation right now is ruined.
