This week, I had my last interview of the year, (who liked my Pulitzer story so much they printed it out!) spoke at my first panel, volunteered as a mentor for Black students from my HS, won a raffle at my gma’s church, & successfully introduced my mom to pho. A win is a win 🏆🥳

2024 was the embodiment of “its not what you wanted, but it was what you needed”

“Many Black farmers refer to USDA as being the last plantation, and the reason for that is, is that it really doesn’t change much from one administration to another, and in all cases, it’s not very good for Black folk," one farmer and former USDA employee told me.
