@mikeyninety @JurassicRabbit Exactly, I think the problem with metacritic is that 70 is yellow and 75 is green but a lot of sites only use whole numbers

@JurassicRabbit to put this politely, the gaming consumer base is full of fucking idiots. this is paired with years aggregate websites determining that 7 (or 70) is mediocre. Metacritic's "Yellow" rating for gaming is a 70 and this has done unbelievable damage to the gaming psyche.

I've spoken to a few people who have been inside both of Nintendo's buildings in Kyoto for business reasons, and they've always emphasised how different it is to the HQs of other game developers like SEGA. Like "a hospital". All-white, clinical. No trace of their games.
