@united I had to laugh at the temerity. You canceled a direct flight from Cape Town to Washington DC, ON THE DAY of travel (Sunday 26th) The rebooking option is for April 30th, 4 days later! Do working adults with familes have an extra 4 days to spend in a city, away from work, with no accommodation and meal support? 😀. And the joke? A refund is offered but "fees apply." 😒 You take absolutely no responsibility when you cause a major disruption. Yes safety first! Cancelations happen. But not offering your passengers any further support is diabolical. Anyway, I flew comfortably back to DC on another airline on Sunday. An unbudgeted for expense! United is the most expensive but your service is below par - food, service on board: no value for money. A lot of us use your RSA route because it is the quickest - and we have work and families to get to. But your competitors flying to South Africa are way above and offer value for money. Cancelations that come with additional days spent in a city require more support and visibility from you. And no fees must apply on refunds. Your bots need training!
