So…I survived. Stayed emotionless with the parents. Most everyone there ignored me. My uncle chatted with me but it was never acknowledged I came out. My uncle did thank my for taking the title of black sheep from him right before he left. Thought that was funny

Today I have to see family for the first time since I came out. They’re very religious, and none of them have reached out since I came out. My nervous system is very disregulated and I’m overwhelmed. Prayers, vibes, energy…whatever you can send…I’ll take it!

@triplej15 It's them! Hi! They're the problem, it's them! (And the religious system in which they exist!) I don't know you at all but congrats on coming out and I hope you can remember that you are good, in every way.

I’ve said this before but the reason our grandmas made it work is there was no expectation to be present or engaged with your children and it was perfectly normal to just let them cry and fend for themselves outside of keeping them alive

Today i was reminded of how awful and cruel kids can be to other kids... Dante was so proud of his costume and wore it to school for the costume contest (that he has won 2 years in a row) and a bunch of kids made fun of him, picked on him, and even ruined his costume and broke it apart while he was wearing it causing him to phone Nikki to come pick him up cause he didn't want to be there anymore. Their reasons were because the character is from an anime and anime is for losers... i am heartbroken for him, he is so upset he doesn't even want to trick or treat tonight and just wants to hide in the house. All i want to do is break something...

The world stood with Israel after the merciless slaughter and terror of October 7. But now we are watching Israel mercilessly slaughter 200 children a day in Gaza. Israel is killing a child every 7 minutes. Grief should never be a cry for war. Revenge is poisonous. Collective punishment is evil. Killing Gazas children because of the sins of Hamas is sick. Two wrongs don’t make a right. The terrorized have now become the terrorizers. The “cure” is as bad as the disease. More violence does not heal the wounds of violence… it just creates new wounds. We cannot kill children to show that killing children is wrong. In battling the beast we must not become the beast. Ceasefire now. Release the hostages now. Stop the violence now.

@TheGrantHartley Why would I prioritize the one interpretation of the Bible over the Holy Spirit and God's image bearers? I'm not arguing which interpretation of the Bible is "right" but that certainty about being "right" about God's work/love in someone else's life to make God too small. 2/2

Robert, look in the mirror at God’s design for your body. You were designed to marry a woman (Gen 2:18-25). And you can’t blame the Holy Spirit for you rejecting God’s design for your body. It’s equivalent to eating dirt, and asking God why He made you this way, when you have rejected His provisions of fruit, vegetables, and meat. The issue is unrepentance not the Holy Spirit. The issue is the flesh not the Holy Spirit.

So, you believe Jesus can walk out of a tomb, but He can’t change your same-sex desires? I don’t buy it.

@jaredhmoore And actually he usually doesn't fix what IS apparently broken; many people never walk! (Maybe they're not broken either but actually there are many wonderful diverse ways to be an Image-Bearer!) Perchance God is more complex and mysterious than you want to believe. 2/2

@JacMelissen None of this makes me want to weep any less for the many who are dying. War is awful. It’s sometimes necessary, and in this case I think it is, but it doesn’t diminish it’s awfulness.

A reminder that Hamas is still holding hostages, some of whom are very young children. The desire to free those hostages is one of the stated reasons for Israel’s military actions in Gaza. I would love to see reporters ask Hamas why they haven’t been released yet.

@BrianDijkema Like, even the premise of the tweet you quoted is gross. Isreal bombed the homes that meant the people were sheltering in the hospitals. Of course reporter could ask Hamas to release hostages, but she's not talking to a Hamas leader. "They made us bomb you" is not the way.

@BrianDijkema essentials? Hamas is evil. But the Isreali government sure isn't anything I would want to be defending. Many of the Palestinians are children too. Does supporting the Jewish government now imply that you think the Jewish children are more important than the Palestinian children?
