Just a thought based on how today has been thus far. The more something feels forced upon you the more you will come to resent it. Even if you were okay with it at the start. I feel like life itself is reaching this point.

@pcgamer Probably because it's actually fun. Gear is meaningful, relics can be taken to endgame, there's meaningful stuff to do in the field and crafting actually takes some effort.

Oh yea I forgot. Steps of Faith is a solo duty now. It used to be a 4 player instance but they cut it down to being solo cause players would be so outgeared for it that you would just skip the cool mechanics like get on the ballista's

Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong without spoiling but: After Shiva, I have a sneaky suspicion that Thordan himself can summon a primal. I don’t know which, but after the Vault and seeing his cronies being able to tap into some kind of power makes me believe they’re somehow gifted by the Ascians or can summon a primal. Which honestly is confusing to me because the way I remember people tempered by Ifrit, Titan, Garuda, etc. were mindless drones and couldn’t just one day be like “Ifrit I need you my campfire is out.” Like they have to have multiple worshippers and stuff for the Primal to answer. So I’m more inclined to believe the Archbishop Thordan is either a primal or just got some sick ninja skills from the Ascian.

@MechaKittn Oh she's good, truly. But she's definitely a shrewd business woman. You find out later just how she is if someone messes up her perfect allocation of funds.

Even the concept art has her as Cidney in English. It's an Aeris vs Aerith type situation, that just never got fixed.

@MechaKittn It seems random now, but we eventually learn it's not as random as we think. There are reasons why it activates. So thankfully that means Aymeric's dietary problems will remain a mystery. As you go through the story, see if you can guess what our Echo specialty is.

Questions about the Echo: I'm assuming it's random given the reaction of our character everytime they get headaches? Does it only activate in the presence of the person we're about to have a flashback about? So if say, Aymeric was like "You should've seen the size of the log I pushed out this morning." We would randomly just... see it? Because if we don't need to be around the person we're looking back in time for, we could theoretically use it to solve crimes.

@MechaKittn I have my own theories on why the echo exists, but it would require spoiling too much to reveal em. That's also something ya gotta look out for, this sorta question is gonna have a high risk of spoilers popping up in the replies.
