So I ended up getting pretty banged up at work and got removed from training. Been kinda depressed for a min and worked up the desire to do some art and low and behold i can actually bend my leg enough to fit under my desk. So i will do some doodles with pen and index cards

@carygolomb As a person that does engineering, using metric system is soooo much easier. Thermodynamic calculations where in many cases I don't even have to convert to Kelvin, and when I do it is very easy. Maybe there are arguments for Farenheit, but when doing calculations I love metric

37.7778 in Celsius is very bad for humans. Or 100 in Fahrenheit is very bad for humans. It's easy to see which one is better because one is Base10 for humans and the other is not. Hope that helps. (Fahrenheit should replace Celsius in the metric system)

@FlorkOfCows I hadve the same issue! I tried many different older firmware versions, also that forced SSID but I instead have a problem where it takes many attempts to connect. Hope it works for you, but it seems Mediatek WiFi is absolutely terrible on Linux

testing current fix: restricting to Meditek card only and only specifically telling it to use BSSID to 5g signal

week on linux very much enjoy it. Significantly better than windows. still have dropping of network though, its not as often, have no idea what the fix would be. Only hiccup ive had so far, everything else is cool!!

@fellix_bg @VideoCardz On Linux Mesa drivers have experimental support for FP8 using FP16 for older GPUs, and that is how FSR4 could be run up to this point. Not only FP8 were no faster than FP16, I assume this new .dll could actually improve performance as now there is no additional overhead.

@VideoCardz INT8 matrix op's in RDNA3 are no faster than FP16 so there shouldn't be a substantial speed up. Ampere GPUs on the other hand can process INT8 op's twice as fast as FP16 in their Tensor ALUs.

@Matej_SI @VideoCardz AMD driver would have to replace Nvidia's dll, which doesn't look good. Also ingame you would have to select Nvidia DLSS. Hard to explain to a normal customer. I think it is reasonable it will stay a mod, which works great

@VideoCardz Of course. Some studios didn't want to implement/upgrade to FSR3.1, but did latest DLSS. Cyberpunk is just the most obvious example. AMD should make it, so that you can "inject" FSR4 in the drivers, so any DLSS game becomes FSR. Could there be some kind of legal conflict?
