@Liviroon I meant the double standard of saying that changing characters from black to white is bad but saying changing a character from white to black is less bad or even okay your still changing their culture identity right or am I just being stupid or is there something I’m missing

@Jack1154670 it always is inherently racist even if the artist didn’t indend it to be. people are raised on the belief that ethnic features are “ugly” and that tends to bleed into the art we make. what do you think is a double standard though?

@Jack1154670 black people are a minority and often dont get representation so erasing ethnic features has racist intent behind it where if someone made a white character black, it wouldn’t be the same because majority of characters in media are white
