I’m being so for real, if Toby Fox fumbles a Berdly plot line where by the end of the game he still is treated as a joke with his friends excluding him and he doesn’t get any more development than the festival; I will genuinely think less of deltarune

I don't have a huge stake in Berdly becoming a party member / having an extended role in the last 2 chapters of Deltarune, but if the game ends + he still feels isolated / lonely / doesn't have a group of friends / support I fear I may walk directly into the ocean to never return

@gonergnostic I do have a strong feeling the final tragedy is going to be a self-fulfilling prophecy, and Chapter 5 is the set up for it to take place.

Part of what I love about Ch5 is that everyone projected that Rals and Susie would spend the rest of the game firmly turned against the prophecy and stalwartly working to break fate with the power of hope and anime, but 5 develops them in almost diametrically the opposite way

@JustMetallich This is why I theorise that Dess is dead but the Knight is a Shadow Crystal created by her Dreams being Destroyed(since she died) still being Dess but a Fucked Up version of Her that isnt the same one Kris or Carol Knew, with them not Accepting that Dess is Gone, they work with+

I am sorry, but each time people make Dess Knight takes where Dess doesn’t have any agency at all, it’s as bad as other characters knights takes to me, because this just sucks out all the interesting stuff which can be done.
