@NUFCMurph We don’t play “target man” tactics and Woltemade is NOT one of them, he wants ball to feet. Ie how we play in midfield build up. Howe has enough credit in the bank to find a new way of playing to get the best out of what we have, maybe not when we’re playing 3 games a week though

Depressing that we've signed one of the most exciting young forwards in Europe this season and now every bit of media I see is about us needing to "cash in" and move him on. Whatever he goes onto do next will have Eddie Howe losing sleep of how he failed to use him correctly.

I’m going to say it now so we are all clear. I’m not calling for Eddie Howe to be sacked because he remains the best manager for the job and has over achieved for four years. My view hasn’t changed on that. Yes this is difficult and he’s under huge pressure now but he deserves a chance to rebuild the team in the summer and go again. And I’m very confident he will bring more success in the future. Thanks for your time. Nobody will get me to change my mind. #nufc

@DMnufc5 @LukeEdwardsTele did i say that? it’s about consistency you whopper. you’re saying it’s a ‘minimum’ of 4 minutes but when they take 2 minutes giving then taking a penalty i expect that to be added on like the 40 seconds of them knocking it around the back 4 was or does that not fit your agenda?

@DMnufc5 @LukeEdwardsTele yes it’s a minimum but what caused the extra 40 seconds that allowed them to attack and win the penalty? there were two minutes between them winning the penalty and them taking it but less than 2 seconds for the final whistle to go after it was scored

@SkySports_Keith we are SCREAMING out for a number 9 in the summer. so many have tried in that position all season but not one of them have the instincts of being in the 6 yard box at the right time. it’s a shame because with a proper goal scorer our season looks a whole lot rosier

That ending encapsulated Newcastle’s season til now. Phenomenal team performance given the circumstances but you always felt there could be a sting in the tail. A couple of slips, and a rash challenge from Thiaw gave Barca the opportunity they needed. A draw still gives #NUFC a chance in the return leg. I thought Hall & Ramsey in particular were outstanding tonight…

@DMnufc5 @LukeEdwardsTele it’s not about “playing to the whistle” it’s about the fact that after over 4 minutes added time barca knocked the ball around their back 4 given inexplicable added time to attack again but as SOON as the ball hit the net from the penalty the ref blew the whistle. No consistency

@Byehorse @TORQUAYTALK it’s not the lack of investment, it’s where the money is going. Countless loan players who don’t see a minute of action, lack of competition for Hamon who is therefore allowed to make mistake after mistake with no repercussions. Now Edwards has gone do we have any coaches?

@RachelVillavox no mention of him walking the players away from unhappy fans while laughing. ‘injuries’ don’t cause Palmer to miss clearances and Hamon to push the ball in to his 6 yard box both resulting in goals. Also doesn’t excuse the hoof ball tactics we’ve seen the last 2 years. Joke
