Had the most crazy interaction in Wigan right now. Bumped into some young people who’d come up to campaign for the Conservatives in Makerfield! I’ll attack Restore every day of the week, but at least they have some support in the constituency 😭

I’m out canvassing voters for @reformparty_uk in the Makerfield by-election today. When you tell potential Restore voters that they can’t win, and that 2029 is the last chance saloon for saving this country from complete demographic disaster, they switch their votes back!

Getting a lot of this stuff in my replies today. What do you think canvassing and politics is all about, if not trying to build coalitions by persuading people to back your ideas and your candidates?! More proof Restore accounts have no clue how any of this functions!

Reform are really digging their own grave by dying on the ‘don’t split the vote’ hill. It’s literally the ONLY thing they have. They didn’t even pretend to be more right wing or to do more for the British people. The second Restore is close enough to Reform in vote share it’s just over and the entire thing comes tumbling down. Their entire strategy relies on Restore’s momentum suddenly stopping. How did this strategy work out for the Tories in 2024? It’s over.
