Hypothetical question: If a President of the USA is a secret Russian asset, what would he do to help Russia? ChatGPT: Interesting thought experiment—and a useful way to think about incentives and power. If someone in that position were secretly acting in another country’s interest, the key wouldn’t be dramatic, obvious betrayals. It would be subtle, deniable, and cumulative. First, they’d likely undermine alliances quietly. The United States’ biggest strategic advantage is its network—especially NATO. So instead of openly pulling out, they might question its value, delay commitments, create distrust among members, or signal unreliability. Even small cracks weaken collective defense. Second, they could shift foreign policy in ways that benefit Russia without looking extreme. That might mean softening sanctions, slowing military aid to countries Russia opposes (like Ukraine), or reframing conflicts to reduce U.S. involvement. None of that needs to look like “helping Russia”—just “putting America first.” Third, damage internal cohesion. A divided country is less effective abroad. Amplifying polarization, discrediting institutions (courts, elections, intelligence agencies), or constantly creating internal crises reduces the ability of the U.S. to act strategically. That’s something adversaries historically benefit from. Fourth, reshape leadership and bureaucracy. Appointing people who are inexperienced, loyal over competent, or sympathetic to certain narratives can gradually shift how decisions are made. Over time, that changes policy outcomes without needing explicit orders. Fifth, control the narrative. Public opinion matters in democracies. Repeating talking points that align with Russian interests—questioning support for allies, portraying adversaries of Russia as corrupt or unworthy—can steer public sentiment in a favorable direction. Finally, they’d avoid anything blatantly illegal or provable. The whole strategy would depend on plausible deniability. If it’s obvious, it fails. The big picture: influence at that level isn’t about one shocking act—it’s about slowly tilting the system so that, over time, outcomes consistently benefit the other side.

Russian propagandist Simonyan talks about the great sacred war that is not being fought against Ukraine. Take a listen. Putin and his inner circle have stopped talking about peace and negotiations and are raising the stakes. They speak of a "great and sacred war" against Europe and NATO. Why is this happening? It is a consequence of Russia’s failures on the Ukrainian front, where Russians are not advancing and are losing more and more soldiers - over 35,000 every month, more than they recruit - while Ukrainians are expanding the kill zone. It is the growing economic problems and the realization that Russia is heading toward collapse. It is the realization that everyone involved in the war will be punished after it ends, which means they cannot allow the war to end. Putin’s inner circle is aware of this dead-end situation. But Putin himself does not know the real picture, because people are afraid to tell him the truth. Therefore, Putin is convinced that he is winning the war. In addition, he sees that the United States is currently focused on the war in Iran and is no longer reacting to massive attacks on Ukraine and hybrid attacks in Europe. By the way, it is quite possible that the latest attack on Kyiv was organized personally for Putin - to give him the satisfaction of seeing Kyiv burning, especially after the humiliating May 9 parade in Moscow - but in reality, this attack achieved no military objectives and was a waste of millions. In this situation, with no real military successes in Ukraine, Putin’s inner circle, out of fear, may develop a desire to continue the war in a new direction - for example against the Baltic states - so that Putin stops asking about Donbas and Mala Tokmachka. The greater the defeat, the higher the stakes.

European intelligence services are seriously concerned by what they see as a very possible Russian incursion into NATO territory to test the alliances resolve Russia may target a Swedish and Danish islands in the Baltic Sea or alliance territory in the Arctic. Wow...

This is Ken Paxton's mugshot. He was indicted on 3 felony counts for investment fraud. He was reported to the FBI by his own staff for bribery. He was impeached by his own party for corruption. Now he’s the Republican nominee for US Senate in Texas. Together we will stop him.

You know, when we started this drone factory, we were just two idiots trying to help Ukraine hit a million FPVs a year. Next thing you know, we’re out here accidentally becoming the Oppenheimer of kamikaze drones. Ours are now FULLY unjammable, as in, the russians can jam all they want, our babies just laugh and keep flying like they run on renewables. We’re about to delete A LOT of russian logistics. Like, ‘sorry bro, your supply truck just got yeeted into the next dimension’ levels of deleted.

Absolute comedy gold! Senator Bernie Sanders brilliantly mocks the billionaire class. He reveals a 5 percent wealth tax would cost Jeff Bezos 14 billion dollars, yet still leave him with a staggering 265 billion to survive. The establishment's greed is completely unhinged!

Senator Bernie Sanders drops a massive bombshell. He confirms a tiny 5 percent wealth tax on just 1000 billionaires would instantly provide a 12,000 dollar payment to ordinary families. He reveals the elite hoard. Wealth tax will be absolutely mandatory with upcoming AI era.

These quick thoughts by Michael Jochum on the disturbing reason Trump gets as much support as he does is a must-read 👇 I used to wonder how it was possible that Trump could have won in 2016, and then again in 2024, given how emotionally toxic and depraved he is. I don’t wonder anymore. I think he won for that exact reason. Because he carried at least one broken shard to reflect the broken shards in millions of others. If you’re a racist, you found your guy. If you’re a misogynist, you found your guy. If money is your only religion, you found your guy. If your heart is armored shut, you found your guy. If you mock the disabled, you found your guy. If intelligence makes you insecure, you found your guy. If you’re a sexual predator, you found your guy. If you trade in humiliation and conspiracy and filth, you found your guy. If you’ve never done a single hour of emotional inventory, you found your guy. If you cheat, stiff contractors, bankrupt your obligations, and call it savvy, you found your guy. If you lie as easily as you breathe, you found your guy. If cruelty feels like strength, you found your guy. If white grievance is your comfort food, you found your guy. If your ego is a black hole no title can fill, you found your guy. If warmongering fuels your ego, you found your guy, If empathy feels like weakness and dominance feels like oxygen, you found your guy. If he’d only carried one or two of these pathologies, he might have been dismissed as just another loud, damaged man. But he carried a buffet of them. That was the appeal. Millions could locate themselves somewhere in the wreckage. They didn’t have to agree with all of it. They just had to recognize a piece of themselves in it. It was never really about him. It was about the validation. The absolution. The permission. He didn’t invent the resentment; he amplified it. He didn’t create the cruelty; he normalized it. He gave millions the intoxicating relief of hearing their ugliest impulses echoed back at rally volume. Trump is a symptom. The deeper illness is collective. If there’s one sentence that defines his power, it’s this: “He says the things I’m thinking.” And that’s the part that should chill us. Because what does it say about us that so many were thinking those things? That tens of millions of Americans harbored resentments so deep, so seething, that they were simply waiting for a demagogue to baptize them as virtue? That after decades of supposed progress on race, gender, and equality, so many white men felt so threatened, so displaced, so furious, that cruelty became a political platform? Maybe we were living in a fool’s paradise, mistaking silence for healing, politeness for progress. Now the mask is off. Now we know. And knowing is a far more dangerous place to stand. – Michael Jochum, Not Just a Drummer: Reflections on Art, Politics, Dogs, and the Human Condition.

The world’s largest military budget has produced an industrial base that cannot sustain a serious war. How is that possible? Because the system is not designed to produce military capability. It is designed to produce contracts. The five largest defense contractors employ roughly a thousand lobbyists in Washington. They distribute their suppliers across forty-five states deliberately, so no senator can ever vote to cancel a program without firing his own constituents. And here we are. The current leadership will keep fiddling on this as they see our apathy as permission.
