@DavidSandow1 Still remember 6DOG was the work base station at Boral Cyclone in WA, correct radio protocol required at all times. RFDS availability was comforting for the people working remote. Sunspots made communication very difficult at times.

Long before the Starlink and smartphones we used HF ( high frequency) transceivers. And everyone had an individual callsign. And we’d call each other at set times (0930, 1230, 1730 in our families case) on a particular frequency to make sure we were ok. A real social network

Ive had 5 v8 landcruisers in the 70 and 200. Plus fmily on cattle station with them. The v8 wasnt all that good (apart from sound). The previous 6cyl factory turbo diesel was better. People will find the 4cyl better in the long run. So goodbye V8 (and watch the price go nuts)
