I was talking about building an OS around power consumption minimization once llms make it possible to basically one-arm this stuff as a solo dev. It's time. Linux as kernel still, but everything else is going to be based around 2 things: - maximize responsiveness to the user - minimize power usage That's it. Everything else derives from these two primitives. There's no reason that my laptop, with an eink screen, should use any power while I'm typing in my editor, should barely use any power when browsing with animations disabled, nor is there any reason for me to experience anything more than ~1ms latency (well I'm not sure how bad eink is there, but you get the idea). I'm vibing a first prototype in qemu, 🤞
