@BertsLegacy Poor Albert. My summer is over in a different way due to swimmers itch. Am banned from swimming or paddling until at least October. So, I feel Albert's pain at the restrictions 😖

🚨 Injury Update 🚨 And just like that, Albert's summer season is over. After a hike, we noticed inflammation around one of his toe joints. This morning it was confirmed as a ligament tear, so it's now a strict regime of rest, with nothing more than short toilet walks for the next few weeks. The summer had started so brightly. Early mornings, long hikes, rivers, and adventures. We'd even planned a few days at the beach, but those have been postponed while the big lad focuses on his recovery. Heal up, Albert. The mountains and beaches can wait. 🐾💙 #dogsoftwitter

Me, Lady R and Lils taking it easy. Mum moaned (as usual 🤭) because the ground is bone dry and a ton of dust attached to the cream on my tail! I suggested a swim would be good. She cussed and said that is why I am in this state!

@JojoVannini If next year I don't swim anywhere that wild fowl are I should be fine. We shall stick to the beach, dont think gannet and oyster catchers carry the mites that the ducks and geese do.

@JackTheLab3 I have the groomer shave two of my labs with a “7”. It helps so much during allergy season and grows back just fine. During season, my chocolate will become so uncomfortable and between shaving and RX shampoo, it’s the only thing that helps

Paws crossed this will ease my itching and I can get rid of the stupid inflatable collar 🙏

Am being tortured for gnawing a few holes in the fur on my tail and lower back. Am booked in for a medicated bath on Saturday and banned from being in water for the rest of the summer! (It is believed to be swimmers itch - and boy is it itchy 😭)

@j98bug Got mites from water birds from other ponds. Thought I had kept it a secret that I was itchy by only nibbling when Mum asleep. She found out and is not happy. No swimming for the foreseeable and a blow up collar for bedtime 😩

@Girl09Bella It has a lot of birds, so yes, the water is fairly polluted.
