Quick update from the founder seat. After 5 weeks of compliance review, Socialync is approved for 1 million YouTube API quota units per day!!!! For anyone who's never gone through Google's API compliance process: it's thorough. Over five weeks they reviewed our terms of service language, privacy policy disclosures, OAuth scopes, branding implementation, metric definitions, and live application behavior. Every flagged item had to be resolved in writing with specifics. A few things I took away: 1. Compliance reviews aren't adversarial. They're protective. The reviewers are checking that your product handles user data and platform features the way the terms of service say it should. Treat the process as serious work, not a hurdle. 2. The violations report was actually useful. Each item gave us a concrete improvement to ship. Some of those changes (better data deletion flows, official branding assets, tighter metric definitions) made the product genuinely better. 3. Bootstrapped founders should budget more time than they think for platform compliance reviews. Plan for weeks, not days. Build queueing and graceful degradation into your platform integrations so partial outages don't break your users.
