6/Democrats ran against something, Republicans ran to win. “Liberals” are crippled with doubt, conservatives are always sure they’re going to win.

5/ This loss will push Democrats toward the center again—but that's the wrong move because as many have pointed out, Harris ran a centrist campaign. Actual progressives need to be heard and excited to support. Trump’s campaigns showed just how powerful real enthusiasm can be.

One week on, and with hindsight allowing for very obvious realizations, here’s a few personal thoughts that no one asked for from a former campaign staffer on Democrats performance in the presidential:
