@lilifying I love FNAF but the fish-eye camera in all the OG games give me motion sickness. I couldn't play SB/SOTM because I'm broke. But my brother played the OG games and I got to listen plus I've been reading up on lore and theories and watched the new games videos so I'm a fan.

unironically fnaf is probably the only series you can be a fan of without actually playing the games

This might not be how you engage with a video of a game and it's not something I equate to playing the game but it's a way to be a fan!

People in real life: “Do you like this game?” “Yes. I watched Markiplier play it, it has a cool story, I like this character.” “Cool.”

I was a fan of the play scenarios it created with vaulting windows and using LOS: aspects of the GAME itslef not the let's play

I spent my nights dreaming of playing Dead by Daylight because I saw videos of it on youtube and when I finally got a decent device I spent 600 hours of my summer playing it

Games have rules but they aren’t solely rules, just like they aren’t solely story or gameplay. Yet to be a fan of a game, you have to have played it or else you haven’t actually experienced it

And yeah the shoot guy button is usually used to kill someone that moves the plot forward, or you have to shoot a lot of guys which is difficult so it makes reaching more plot feel good

@musey101 @bluthundyr Listening to an audiobook as opposed to reading it is closer to playing on mouse and keyboard as opposed to controller, you’re still getting the same amount of content in the intended way. Games are made to be watched, they’re meant to be played

@bluthundyr Here’s my argument: If you listen to an audiobook rather than read it you still consume the media If you just listen to a soundtrack of a audial rather than watch it you still consume the media The same can be said for VG—you’re just consuming it a diff way it still counts?
