Think of health care, blue collar, finance, service industry, entertainment, etc. none of those industries can afford to cut hours like that. Also the money supply would shrink, so how would we keep paying everyone the same

Inflation would rise at an immense rate because hourly pay just went up 40%. Business would close at 3pm. Blue collar workers wouldn’t be able to finish projects, etc…
