Okay, last backward-looking thing I’ll say on this whole saga. I think if there’s one key lesson Dems can draw from this, it’s this: Listen to the people. There was a ton of qualitative + quantitative evidence showing a desperate desire among voters for a new nominee. The folks who got this one right — that replacing Biden would be a hugely positive and energizing improvement — were those who said let’s look at what the voters want and act accordingly. The folks who got this wrong were those who said the voters don’t get it and we must stay the course. We often lose sight of the fact that democracy is supposed to be about giving the people what they want. Democracy is a system that trusts that when a strong majority makes its wishes heard, our leaders should pay attention. Too often our government — and yes, our Party — doesn’t do that. The people were right about Biden before the politicians were. In the future they’re going to be right about other stuff before the politicians, too. If Kamala Harris can incorporate that lesson into her campaign, I think we’ve got a great chance to win this thing.

Republicans love their “Don’t tread on me” flags but they’re the ones who want to decide how you get pregnant, when you give birth, what medicine you can take, what treatment you can receive, which exceptions they’ll allow, how long you can miscarry and whether you live or die.

Alright I wanna know what was your biggest gut instinct about a patient that ended up being true? One of mine was when I figured out a patient had carbon monoxide poisoning before the icu team did and they listened to me, confirmed it and started treatment!

Our nurse just filled out a prior authorization that had 61 questions & took 59 minutes to complete For just one medication—and the patient is already on it & doing well She could have cared for 4-5 patients/families during that time. This shouldn’t be legal
