@altobelli_mark You showed nothing except misinterpretation and assumption.
English

@JackmanRobert Please do elaborate, I showed you numerous examples with a pretty straightforward presentation of a plurality of elders and you are content to dismiss it

Let's see...
catholics have creeds, as do denoms with women 'pastors', homo pastors, baby baptism, and ruling elders.
Nope! It doesn't appear to be true.

Do you agree with this chart?
English

@altobelli_mark At least my assertion is based on what Scripture says rather than what I say about Scripture.
English

@JackmanRobert What's your strongest argument? My tradition says there should be one pastor and one associate pastor? Or is it that in the book of Revelation when he talks to the seven churches? I don't think we should be taking our cues as to how to run the church from the book of Revelation

@SlowToWrite He doesn’t need more evidence, he needs a new heart. Until God removes the heart of stone, opens his blind eyes, and grants spiritual life, he will reject Christ. But when God does that, resistance to Christ ends and submission begins.

I'm no gambler, but I'd bet $100 that no one will go to jail. At least a dozen should, certainly the "C-suite" and the operatives.

Shut it down
English

@altobelli_mark Oh puleeeease! Your strongest argument has been: "See! It's plural!"
Give me a break. You've got nothing.
English

@JackmanRobert If you refuse to be convinced by actual compelling biblical examples, what more can I say... This appears to be another example of you having your mind made up and refusing to be confused with facts

•Saving Faith: Romans 10:9 states, "...if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved". This implies a personal commitment to His authority, not just acknowledging Him as deity.
•Obedience as Evidence: Luke 6:46 asks, "Why do you call me 'Lord, Lord,' and not do what I tell you?". Genuine faith is accompanied by a desire to obey Him (John 14:15, 23).
•Total Surrender: Romans 12:1-2 calls believers to present their bodies as living sacrifices, implying a full transfer of ownership to Christ's control.
•Universal Recognition: Philippians 2:9-11 declares that God has highly exalted Jesus, ensuring every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.
•Ownership by Redemption: 1 Corinthians 6:20 and 1 Peter 1:18-19 state that believers are bought with a price (His blood), making Him owner and Lord.

The propagators of Lordship Salvation have duped untold millions into trusting that their lives reflect some arbitrary level of God-given obedience that assures them of salvation.

@thisisfoster My wife and I have never fought in thirty years. I raised my voice once in frustration the first month. I repented immediately.
We differ on a lot of stuff, but never fight.

You must come to Jesus to get a new heart.
You’re not unilaterally given life so that you can decide to come to the Giver of Life. No! You come to the Life Giver in order to GET NEW LIFE!
“But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.”
John 20:31
“Repent! Turn away from all your offenses; then sin will not be your downfall. Rid yourselves of all the offenses you have committed, and get a new heart and a new spirit. Why will you die, people of Israel? For I take no pleasure in the death of anyone, declares the Sovereign Lord. Repent and live!”
Ezekiel 18:30-32
