While I respect President Trump and understand the importance of passing this legislation, I will not do so at the expense of my district — one of only three held by a Republican that Kamala Harris won in November. For over two years, I have been abundantly clear to everyone from the President to House Leadership about the importance of lifting the cap on SALT. It is one of the reasons why I won and why we even have a House Republican Majority. I will continue to negotiate in good faith to reach an agreement and provide real and lasting tax relief for my constituents, who have been besieged by the highest taxes in the nation. I will not accept anything less.

Tax planning isn’t a once-a-year thing. It’s a process — and it should be guided by someone who’s keeping an eye on it all year long.

Heads-up: Congress is working on a major tax bill. Lots of practical, across-the-board tax cuts are on the table. We’re going through the 389-page (!) proposed bill so you don’t have to... Here’s the thing: real savings don’t happen by accident, and they don’t happen in April.

@girdley We're relying less on technology—and seeing a clear link between that and peace of mind, better focus, and quality. Where I live, flip phones made a comeback and are the norm. Smartphones? Just a secondary tool during work hours etc

Young people are showing signs of giving up on technology for happiness. It won't surprise me if we get a neo-Luddite movement soon in rebellion. Much like the Hippies in the 1960s hated the corporatist attitudes of their parents.
