The death penalty is wrong. It doesn’t deter crime (look at murder rates in countries that still retain it). It makes juries more reluctant to convict. It’s costly and inhumane. It leads to the ultimate miscarriages of justice. Even DNA evidence doesn’t necessarily prove guilt.
