Edmonton police have charged a 28-year-old man in connection with multiple sexual assault incidents at West Edmonton Mall and other retail locations. EPS say the alleged offences occurred in November 2025, including one incident at West Edmonton Mall where a woman was approached from behind on an escalator and had a semen-like substance intentionally squirted onto her back and buttocks. Investigators believe the suspect followed and approached about seven women in a similar manner over a short time span that day. Police later linked similar incidents to a HomeSense location on November 4 and a Costco on November 8. After a public appeal for information, Jensen Jeffery, 28, was arrested on January 14, 2026, and charged with three counts of sexual assault. Jeffery was released with conditions, including a ban on attending shopping malls, restrictions on weapons, and a requirement to remain in Alberta unless given court permission. EPS say there may be additional victims and incidents not yet reported.
