My crazy h theory is that EA keeps making half assed packs, specially those that revisit stuff we've seen already, so no one is truly satisfied with their gameplay experience. That way the constant ads catch people's eye more often, cause what if that spark is just 20$ away?

When you open a game, it should not be bombarded with "you should buy this" over time, #Sims4 has become more and more an advertisement space in of itself. Do the advertising OUTSIDE of #videogames #TheSims

I mean this in the best way possible: This feels like a modern and improved version of The Sims 3's CAS with NRaas's mods. It has all its best features and more, I can't wait to try it out myself

@BasedRPG The main difference is that a bosmer lays with their partner many times, while a dunmer lays with many partners oftentimes. Not the same.

Though rumor points to the Dunmer in particular being overly promiscuous, the Bosmer actually have them beat.

@LlamasRetro @deykxn I must say, even Bethesda wasn't this bad. Like yes they have an in-game mods store but their official modding tools are free for everyone since launch, EA literally created modding tools and sequestered them behind their marketplace-only use policy. That's what irked me the most

@JaviTrulove Me apena pero lo estaba pensando. Mi esperanza con el juego era que EA se olvidase de él y quedase en manos de la comunidad, pero con esta jugada de monetizar los mods me preocupa que se intenten cargar Sims4Studio y otras herramientas no oficiales para sacar más beneficios

As someone who has played Skyrim & Fallout for over 10 years thanks to Bethesda making its development tools available to all, the idea of a company creating modding tools and restricting their use to creating things they can profit from absolutely disgust me. Fucking parasites.

@solitasims They noticed the latest packs don't sell as well as they used to and have found a way to monetize the game without having to do any of the actual work. I was reading the SC post and I was absolutely baffled... They made modding tools that can only be used for marketplace content

Me da la sensación de que el motivo por el que la arquitectura es toda tan blanca es para facilitar el reutilizar las ventanas/puertas de los otros dos barrios, que son todas de estuco blanco, sin tener que añadirles más colores. El BB en general tiene muchos objetos low effort

Me van a funar por esto seguro pero del mundo del nuevo pack el barrio que menos me gusta es Dambele... Sólo lo he visto en vídeos, pero que las rocas, suelos y edificios fuesen todos tan blancos me resulta muy monocromático y literalmente me deslumbraba un poco. Se ve pálido.

Dedicar todo un DLC a un mundo inspirado en África, con barrios basados en distintos países, hubiese sido más coherente. O si vas a hacer un pack mediterráneo con un barrio portuñol, otro frantaliano y quieres que el tercero sea africa, elige un país del norte como Algeria/Túnez

En general el mundo me ha decepcionado. Es bonito, me alegro de que no sea otro pto barrio de EEUU, pero le falta profundidad y sufre por tener estilos tan distintos en un mismo presupuesto. 2 barrios comparten assets relativamente bien, pero el otro se queda arrinconado

@CBXSims I don't find it so weird, the different neighborhoods are separated by water, there's a bit of a pirate theme, and in general it gives me mini Mediterranean vibes
