@DJAceNBA I almost forgot how often Spurs defenders put two hands on Brunson every time he tried to drive

Actually I wouldn’t, and can tell you exactly why. KD went to a 73 win team, . They had the most regular season wins in history. They had already won the championship. They Lost in the finals the year before and were the ones who eliminated OKC, a front running move like this has ever been done by anyone else. Wilt won a chip with the Philadelphia 76ers in his RETURN to Philly, he started with the Philly warriors and then the franchise relocated the team to SF. He had no choice but to move cities. As I’m sure you know, there was no free agency. The SF warriors were struggling financially and essentially sold wilt because they couldn’t carry his salary. He also had issues with ownership—but he should have—they traded wilt chamberlain for 3 role players and 150k. (He was making 65k per year) It was essentially a sale. When he was traded to the 76ers the team was 11-33. Sound like a front running team to you? They went 29-7 with wilt and finished the year 40-40. Not remotely the same. Shaq wanted to be in LA (for non basketball reasons) and he left, but he also went to an inferior team than what he was on, they won 53 games the year before he got there but also lost in the first round. He had just been to the finals and won 60. He also wouldn’t have a teammate average 20 ppg till Kobe did their first championship year which was his 4th year after signing. Not the same. Moses Malone was sent packing for financial relief. He was a restricted FA, the team could have matched and instead did a sign and trade. Another reason this was different, was Philly couldn’t get over the hump. They had LOST 3 times in the finals over the previous 5 years and were also having to go up against the emerging Boston dynasty who they lost to in 81. Malone who had won MVP the year before, won mvp again and finals mvp putting them over the hump and making them champs. Again not the Same KG again is a completely different situation. Before he got traded Minny had missed the playoffs 3 years in a row. They also lost 5 first round picks in the Joe smith debacle. So they were over the cap with kgs contract, hasn’t made the playoffs and had no picks to get better. Remember KG didn’t ask for Boston specifically and also blocked the trade to Boston initially before they acquired Ray Allen. They were a 24-58 team with Pierce before adding Allen and KG. Not remotely the same.

Anyone who leads a team to a championship as the undisputed top player immediately supersedes Kevin Durant all time Outside of the Warriors and Team USA, Kevin Durant couldn’t win, therefore by doing so said player has reached a pinnacle of success that Kevin Durant could never

@ermwai @justforfunidky @PlayoffBoundNYK You’re really having a hard time. The standard was SET. To be a winner and to not take the easy way out. Everyone was held to that standard as a norm. He broke it. You haven’t made any coherent arguments. I just gave you 40 years of evidence.

@JadeAddon @justforfunidky @PlayoffBoundNYK So you don't know what a standard means, how is it a standard if no one conceived of it before kd did it. The "standard" was basically created specifically for kd. Instead of talking basketball you're obsessed with talking about narratives.

@ShaxNBA As a variation off this—Imagine after you’ve run it a couple of times instead of Robbins that’s Kat and he slips the screen to pop out to the 3pt line as they collapse on Mikal or OG.

Everyone is held to that standard because that’s the standard that has been set. It’s history. It’s what great players HAVE DONE OVERWHELMINGLY. Really it’s just Iverson and Derrick Rose as exceptions. AI is rightfully given a pass for having maybe the least help in history, rose was shell of his former self due to injuries . And neither of them is near being considered a top 15-20 player of all time. (KD was averaged 29+ in some years after his surgery) Everyone else A. Never Left a team and joined their rivals in their prime —-that’s a universal standard (no one else has done this) B. Also Every top player (and former MVP) has either won as the best player or made a conf finals after 30 (best player or not—that’s a WIDE NET) Top 25 (not mine) Michael Jordan ✅ LeBron James ✅ Kareem Abdul-Jabbar✅ Magic Johnson✅ Larry Bird✅ Wilt Chamberlain✅ Bill Russell✅ Tim Duncan✅ Shaquille O'Neal✅ Kobe Bryant✅ Hakeem Olajuwon✅ Oscar Robertson✅ Stephen Curry✅ Jerry West✅ Kevin Durant🚫 Julius Erving✅ Moses Malone✅ Dirk Nowitzki✅ Karl Malone✅ Charles Barkley✅ Kevin Garnett✅ David Robinson✅ John Havlicek✅ Elgin Baylor✅ Isiah Thomas✅ Others OGs John Stockton ✅ Dwayne Wade ✅ Patrick Ewing ✅ Clyde Drexler ✅ Reggie Miller ✅ Steve Nash✅ Allen Iverson 🚫 Jason Kidd ✅ Other players in his generation which he theoretically ranks above Giannis ✅ Kawhi Leonard✅ Chris Paul✅ James Harden✅ SGA ✅ Jokic ✅ Kyrie Irving ✅ Derrick Rose 🚫 Why is KD the only person in this situation—especially when he’s had historically good teammates. Both before and after the warriors KD has played TWO seasons without a HALL OF FAME or future HOF TEAMMATE. His rookie season and last year. ( if no one on the rockets makes it)

KD was never the best player on the warriors. Steph was the best. Everything KD achieved was because of the attention Steph drew. He played great but Steph was always the best player on the team. It’s why without Steph he only could get to one championship. Remember when KD missed the western conf final Steph put up 36.5-8.3 and 7.3 Steph has back to back mvps and two rings without KD before and after—-KD not only has zero, he’s been lackluster in the wins dept since he left GS despite the HOF teammates. With 13 playoff wins since 2018-2019

@JadeAddon @TXForever49 @PlayoffBoundNYK Brunson has been the best player on 2 teams that made a conference finals while KD has been the best player on at least SIX of them. Best player on a conference champion at 23 y/o. Peak of powers, top 2 nba player, and longevity, time being elite, both go to KD.

We’re only holding to the standards EVERY other great player is held to. Hitting those standards is what makes you great. Getting beat by your rivals then joining them, is a move that has been done ONLY been done by KD. He doesn’t get credit for joining a 73 win team that won before and after he was there. And he hasn’t done much of any winning since even though he’s had a HOF teammate at every stop. That was HIS CHOICE to Change the trajectory of his career and to be open to being judged in that manner. If you don’t meet the standards then one of these is not like the others.

@NYK_Mentality85 Summer ball is like street ball. Some players thrive in it but some player need to play within a system. Diawara doesn’t play street ball and that’s okay. We all saw him play within Mike Brown system VS actual NBA players. Forget Summer league.. He will be fine

Horrible outlook on what the Summer League is all about. There's a big difference between Mohamed Diawara being surrounded by Jalen Brunson, Mikal Bridges, Josh Hart, OG Anunoby and Karl-Anthony Towns (in the NBA) in comparison to not being surrounded by them (in Summer League)

Before Summer League, I thought Mo shouldn’t play more than two games. Now that he’s been garbage juice, he might have to play every Summer League game just to restore our faith in him. Yikes.

@jakerobrob @TXForever49 @PlayoffBoundNYK Again there is not version of KD that leads a team to a chip. It’s never happened. BRUNSON has don’t it, and didn’t hand to join a 73 win team. Yall have gotten is consistently wrong on Jalen. This is another example

There is chatter that Leon Rose and the Knicks are interested in Kel’el Ware. Living in SoFla means all my buddies & family members are Heat fans so I’ve watched a lot of Heat games. One thing I always said was that this guy was special 🟠🔵
